Must Have Firefox Addon: SEO Blogger Keyword Tool

How much more traffic would you have if you did keyword research for every blog post that you did. Keyword research can be so time consuming, and that is why I love this Firefox Addon from Wordtracker.

The plugin puts this nifty little “w” at the bottom right of my screen so I can click on it any time I want to instantly do some keyword research.

w-button

After the little “w” has been clicked, a browser column opens with two sections. In the top section you enter a keyword and Wordtracker does a search and provides a list of potential keywords.

Enter your keyword and click search

Select the keywords you want and search again

After you select the keywords you want to use, simply click Add or Add all and they are put in a the bottom section.

As you can see from the list above, I chose how to use wordtracker seo blogger as a keyword and have now inserted it into this post.

The addition of an export button would make this tool complete

The tool does not currently allow for exporting your keyword list to .csv or a text file. Trying to copy and paste all of the keywords from the “Your Chosen Keywords” section does not yield positive results. I hope Wordtracker incorporates that functionality at a later date since it would serve well to build a seed list of keywords to use within Wordtracker.

That’s a useful add-on, easy to use as it is always at-hand. But, i think those addons are not as effective as a specific keyword tool especially developed for this kind of work.

For example, i use iSpionage keyword tool, you can find it on http://www.ispionage.com if you want to check it, and i think you should cause there’s nothing for you to lose, just a few minutes from your time. Why i think it is great? First, it saves me all the hard work with keywords managing: it generates keywords ideas, it cleans them, it groups them (adgroups)and it builds the campaign too. Along with the generated keywords idea also come very important information as the searched volume over the last month, overall searched volume and competitors’ interest, for the generated keywords, which are very vital for making a good marketing plan, so it is quite easy for me to know which direction to go when choosing the keywords. They also have a tool for campaign monitoring&improving, rank checking, competitors’ spying, etc.

The addons are good for quick searches, no doubt about it, but for a deep analyze and good strategy you need a professional tool, don’t you think?

@Dwayne, I typically use wordtracker, but I will check out your recommendation. thanks for stopping by.

  3. I’ve had a WT subscription for a year. It’s nice to have, but honestly, I do think you can over-optimize. I get a lot of SEO traffic to my blog for terms that I do not “optimize” for directly.
Besides, FF is so slow for me, I prefer not to burden it with more add-ons ;) .-= Anne @ b6s.net´s last blog ..Automatic Backlink Building Software Hype =-.

  4. That is awesome. Good tool for bloggers. Great tool for ecommerce catalogers. Larger ecommerce sites should make this a mandatory plug in for their catalogers. Their long tail traffic would go way up.

I was dreaming up of this tool the other day because I use Wordtracker all of the time. So glad it exists!

  5. Damn, why I’m getting Communication error, status code 500…Is this working fine for you?

Fantastic Website! Carry on the great job!

  12. Good tool but the problem is Wordtracker is not free. Also, I’ve seen so many cases of bad estimation by these keyword tools - Completely offbase.

They say so and so keyword gets so much and so much searches per month, but in reality, it is always way less. I am willing to bet many of the search numbers are made by webamsters and not potential buyers/surfers.

Something you’d need to factor in.

  13. I just downloaded the addon, thanks.

Another addon that I LOVE is one called NoDoFollow. I use it everyday and it will help with your SEO efforts.

  14. Unbelievable usability features with this new addon. I have been using the plugin searchstatus for all of my keyword research and was little worried over its limitations. Now I think I got the tool which has all the things I just needed. Should be better than all those paid services.
